Disappointed But Not Disheartened

COVID-19 has brought the whole world into a standstill. Stay home stay safe has been the most effective way to deal with this virus. This has lead to all sporting activities around the world to be canceled or postponed. This pandemic has made life of all sports people including emerging talents very frustrating. Among such young emerging prospect is Aryan Giri who is U-18 number 1 tennis player of Nepal. He had also reached as high as number 7 in U-14 Asian Rankings. At present he is ranked 1130 in ITF WORLD JUNIORS RANKINGS. It’s been very frustrating and difficult few months as a very active player like him has had to stay home instead of spending hours on the courts and gym, apart from traveling to different countries for tournaments.

Aryan trains at Impact Tennis Academy Thailand under the watchful eyes of coaches Stephan Koon Skinny and Carlos. He is in regular touch with his coaches and they guide him from time to time. This lockdown has stopped him from traveling to Thailand and training. So far he is keeping himself fit and doing online school. He is in class 10 of University School Basundhara. The school is supporting him in every way they can. As slowly everything is opening up Aryan is also feeling positive and motivated to go back to his Academy and continue his normal routine. This has been in fact very difficult for everyone. Hope everything comes to normal as soon as possible.

Aryan Giri is also the brand ambassador of Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited. Their support has been very crucial specially in such times.
